Large Selection of Art

Frameworks Gallery and Frame Design, Inc. has been providing the finest in picture framing and art for nearly 30 years. In the same location and under the same ownership, we are the standard by which our competition strives to emulate. Our passion is a product well designed and crafted.

We understand the principles of design and color, yet our creative instincts do not always conform to the latest whims of decorator colors and accessories. When we produce a frame we expect it to survive the latest decorator color splash. This leads us to our philosophy of 'frame it once, frame it right and frame it forever'. Simple elegance will stand the test of time.

Frameworks Gallery and Frame Design has twice been voted 'Best Picture Framing from the Triangle to the Coast' by the readers of Metro Magazine. Frameworks is also an excellent Gallery representing local, regional, national and international artists. We have a constantly changing variety of Art and have frequent showings for artists. The Opening Receptions allow our clients to meet the artist in person.

Our shop offers conservation products that allow us to frame your valuable art to Museum Standards. The use of acid free matting, ultra-violet blocking glass and appropriate hinges for mounting your art will preserve your treasures into the future. In fact, conservation products are not just offered, they are our standard. Our goal is to prepare your art so that it ‘travels well through time’.

Your valuable art, memorabilia and photographs demand the finest quality framing. Depend on Frameworks to deliver just that.

Frameworks Gallery and Frame Design opened for business in the Spring of 1977. With an enormous desire to be independent and creative, the owners, Carolyn and Charles Younger took a leap of faith that they had the talent, vision and energy to succeed. With an extensive background in art, art history and design; and over ten years of on the job experience as an Illustrator and Graphic Artist, the Gallery and Picture Framing Business seemed a natural course to take.
